The theme “Hidden Green Leamington” invites you to showcase a glimpse of our less well known green spaces, such as recreation grounds, small parks, meadows and more.
Guidelines and rules
We’d really love to see photos submitted of green spaces across town such as The Holt, Wych Elm Arboretum, The Dell, Eagle Rec, Dragon Cottage, Fords Field, Newbold Comyn, Redlands Rec and many others. It can also mean photos of parts or features of the main parks which don’t usually get attention or highlighted. A map of Leamington’s green spaces is below for inspiration only but what you photograph and where is up to you, providing it’s within Leamington Spa’s boundaries.
You can take photographs throughout the coming months, up until the closing date of 5pm on Friday, 25th August 2023.
You can enter up to 3 images.
You will need to complete an entry form – we can’t judge your entry without one – and they will be available by email from admin@leamingtonspatowncouncil.gov.uk Download a form on our website here.
If you have a gmail account you can also upload your photos here. (You can upload at any time and edit your entries up until the closing date.) Or you can send them to us by attaching to an email and sending to leamingtoninbloom@gmail.com
1. A maximum of 3 photographs per entrant.
2. Images should be in jpeg format and in the highest resolution that your camera or phone supports but at least 1MB.
3. Photographs can relate to any subject that you consider being representative of “Royal Leamington Spa”. They must be taken within the boundaries of Royal Leamington Spa. The photographs can be taken any time of the year.
4. All entrants agree that their images can be used by Leamington in Bloom for publicity purposes, within any promotional material used for fundraising and in the Portfolio submitted as part of the Town entry to “Heart of England in Bloom”. The originator will be credited in any publicity.
5. If taking photographs on private property, you must obtain the permission of the landowner – (this does not apply to public parks and gardens)
6. The last date for entries is 5pm on Friday, 25th August 2023.
Prizes are 1st £50, 2nd £35, 3rd £20 Winning entries and best runners-up will feature in the Leamington in Bloom Calendar 2024
